What's a Recipe? ☆ Kindy 2

Hello everyone!

We have been learning all about recipes and how to understand them, for science lessons. We really liked learning about the different cooking techniques, as the gestures were funny!

"You mix like this."

"How do you chop?"

"Straight down!"

We also went over how to make an ingredients list and how to write directions for cooking.

"Do we have everything we need to make Strawberry Cake?"

"Yes!"

We wrote down three steps to make Strawberry Cake. 

"Step 1: Mix all the ingredients together. Step 2: Pour mix into a round pan. Step 3: Bake in the oven!"

Learning how to read recipes was hard but we enjoyed working together to figure it out.

"How much water do we need in this recipe?"

"We need 1 cup."

Our teachers made sure that we could read the recipe correctly!

"Pour the yellow cake mix into the bowl."

"These look so yummy!"

Learning about cooking was so much fun! There were so many things that we loved to mimic doing.
