June Has Been a Blast! ☆ Kindy 1

We can't believe June is almost over! Our first summer month of learning has been a blast. From ocean animals to fruits to furniture, our vocabulary has been expanding more and more every day.

This week, we colored some furniture items and glued them onto our very own houses! We loved matching the right furniture to the right rooms, and we are getting so much better at using our glue sticks. 

We also learned how to write the letter "F" this week. We've been learning how to write one of our ABC's each week, and we can't believe we've already made it to "F"! We are more confident using our pencils now, so it's become a lot easier to practice writing. Soon, we'll know all our letters, big and small! After we finish practicing, we get to stamp our ABC workbooks.

Ocean animals have been one of our favorite topics to learn about this month. We love learning the different types of animals, what they look like, and what they do in the ocean! This week, we got to watch a short documentary about the five different oceans around the world and what animals live in each habitat. 

To understand the difference between "tallest," "medium," and "shortest," we've been playing a building blocks racing game. It's been so fun to see who can build the tallest tower within only ten seconds!

For physical development, we've been practicing our overhanded and underhanded throws with bean bags and balls outside. It's been really cool to see how good we are at throwing and catching!
