Activities with Small Kids

Hello everyone! We are Small Kids! For today's blog, we want to share with you some activities we have been doing that help us develop and have fun! Recently, we have been practcing how to stand in a line nicely, how to walk nicely in the hallway, how to build things using our imagination, the difference between rolling and throwing a ball, and so much more!

Firstly, we will show you how nicely we are trying to stand in line! Our teacher tells us, "Line up!" and when we come to her, she says "Ok, don't move!". If we get a little confused, she will always help us and show us where to stand. We think it's much safer to stand in a nice line, because when we walk in the hallway we can avoid running into others, and our teachers can keep track of where we are. Recently, we have been doing so well remembering how to stand in line properly. Good job Small Kids!

Next, we want to show you how much fun we have learning our colors. We really love the "Rainbow Song". We can sing every word. This time, our teacher played the song after lunch, and we happily ran over to the board to point at each color and sing loudly. It's amazing how smart we are, and how much we are learning!!

In this box of toys we have various blocks and games. There is a magnetic fishing game in here as well, which helps us practice precision! By using the blocks we can try building things and using our imagination. Our teachers love seeing what we make of these toys!

Here, our teacher is showing us a new game outside! We were really interested. She wanted us to learn the words "roll" and "throw", because they are very useful! So, we got a goal and a ball and she showed us how to roll the ball into the goal; kind of like bowling!

The final thing we want to show you this week is play dough! We love when our teachers make different shapes and characters for us out of the playdough. We also think it is really fun to pretend to make food, and work in a kitchen. "Orange juice!" We say.

This friend made her own ball after a few months of practicing! Play dough helps us develop our imaginations, as well as our fine motor skills by picking apart the pieces and putting them together. It is a very fun way to learn and play.

That's all for this time, we will see you soon! Good job Small Kids!!!! heart
