Our Field Trip to Dela Farm!
Hello! This is Small Kids!
On Friday of last week, we went on our first field trip! We went to a very cool place called Dela Farm. They had so many animals and plants that we don't get to see everyday! We did many fun things like collecting plants, petting animals, and even feeding them too! Our Mommies and Daddies came too, so we were really happy :)
For this week's blog, we want to show you everything we did!
First, we looked for leaves and small pinecorns. We counted how many we found, and we talked about how they felt and what they looked like!
Next, we walked through a beautiful flower garden! There was so many pretty colors, and one of the flowers even had a colony of small beetles living inside of it. It was cool to see!
After the flower garden, we went to see some animals! We pet guinea pigs, goats, a hedgehog, bunnies, and our teacher even held a snake!
Next, we went to see a baby cow! A baby cow is called a "calf." We also saw chickens, and baby chickens which are called "chicks." This one just hatched!!
We were feeling a little tired, so we took a rest in the indoor play area! We played with a bunch of wooden eggs, and our Mommies and Daddies read to us.
Finally it was time to go. Our teacher gave us a special gift bag full of yummy treats.
We said goodbye, and went home to take a nap after a very fun day.
Good job Small Kids!!! And, thank you Dela Farm!
