Be prepared! ☆ Kindy 2

Hello everyone,

This month we are learning about natural disasters and how to be prepared for them. We have been going over what happens during natural disasters and watching videos to better understand what they are like. 

We first learned what each natural disaster is called with flashcards. 

"Landslide."

"Does anyone know what happens during a landslide?"

"I do! Trees fall down to the floor."

When we watched the videos we couldn't look away! They were so interesting and it was really neat to see what the disasters looked like in real life. 

"So much water!"

Once we knew how serious natural disasters are, we learned how we can be prepared incase they happen. Laken showed us what we should have inside an emergency kit and how to pack it. 

"Make sure you have an emergency kit at home!"

Laken helped us make our own emergency kits. 

"What should go inside?"

"Band-aids!"

"Masks!"

We had lots of fun drawing our own items for the emergency kits. It was a little hard but we tried our best!

Of course, we had to make sure our kits were colorful! 

"What are you drawing?"

"I'm drawing a face!"

You all did such a good job at making your own emergency kits and making sure you understood what each natural disaster was. I just know that you are prepared for anything!
