Future Firefighters! ☆ Kindy 1

Hello everyone! Future firefighters here, reporting for duty!

Last week, we went on our first exclusive fieldtrip as Kindy 1 and visited our local fire station. We had SO much fun! We've been learning a lot about firefighters and how they help our community. It was really cool to meet some real ones and see what their jobs are like. We're even bigger fans of firefighters now than we were before. 

At the fire station, we got to try on real firefighter uniforms and spray some water! The firefighters helped us try on everything and showed us exactly how to use the fire hose. The water was strong, but we held our own. It was a splash!

We felt so cool! Then, some of the firefighters gave us an explanation on how everything works in the fire truck. They showed us the really tall latter, and they demonstrated how they unravel the fire hose from the truck when there's an emergency. We got to try holding it by ourselves. It was a little bit heavy, but together with our friends, we could do it. 

To finish off the fieldtrip, we tried riding the ambulance and one of the firetrucks. It was awesome to see the inside! We even pretended to use the phone to call our new firefighter friends.

We feel SO lucky that we got to see the fire station and meet some really cool firefighters. It was such a special day! We drew some pictures of the firetruck and ambulance to thank our new friends.
