Lettuce Grow Together: A Class Garden Story ⭐︎Kindy 2

Hello family and friends!

This week Kindy 2 class started a special gardening project to learn how plants grow!

Learning how to grow plants helps us understand where our food comes from, how to take care of living things, and how to work as a team. We’re learning to be patient, responsible, and curious. Plus, it’s so exciting to see something we planted with our own hands start to grow!

First, we prepared our planter by adding small rocks at the bottom. This helps with drainage, so the water doesn’t stay stuck in the soil.

Next, we carefully added the soil, patting it down gently. 

Then came the exciting part! Each of us took turns planting lettuce seeds in the soil. Everyone had a chance to help!

Finally, we watered the planter and placed it in a sunny spot. Now we’re taking care of it every day and waiting for our tiny seeds to grow!

We can’t wait to see our lettuce grow and maybe even taste it in the future!
