Our Day at the Zoo! ☆ Kindy 3

Hello, everyone.

As you know, we went to Higashiyama Zoo last week with Kindy 1 and 2. We had a great time and saw so many interesting animals. The zoo is huge, but we did our best to explore as much as we could. By the end of the day we were tired but happy and ready to hop on the bus back to school.

We've arrived!

Some of the first animals we saw were the elephants! They were really cute and we stopped to take some photos there.

We moved on and made our way over past the deer to the kangaroos next. Most of the kangaroos were resting, but we saw one kangaroo mama with a joey (baby kangaroo) in her pouch.

The lion was sleeping right next to the window, so we got a really close look at her.

After the lion we saw the red pandas, flamingos and then made our way up to the giraffes. They were far away but so tall!

We saw a huge polar bear as we walked back down past the penguins to the sea lions. We were really lucky to catch the sea lions as the zookeepers were refilling their enclosure with water. The sea lions were really excited and were having fun sliding around in circles like it was a waterslide. It was really fun to watch.

We watched the sea lions play for a long time, but then it was time for lunch. By now we were quite tired as it was a hot day. We sat down with Kindy 1 and 2 for a picnic lunch. Everyone looked so happy eating the lunches they had brought from home.

After lunch, we headed on over to the other side of the zoo to see the monkeys, chimpanzees and gorillas. We also found a nice spot to cool down where we stopped for a short break.

After that, we saw a big Komodo dragon, a wolf, bisons and the capybaras before finding a rest area with airconditioning to sit down and eat snacks together.

While waiting for the bus to come pick us up, some of Kindy 3 danced 'We Go Together' on stage to pass the time. All in all, it was a great day at the zoo. We had a lot of fun and saw so many interesting things. We did a lot of walking so I'm sure everyone went home and had a big sleep that night. I was proud of how well Kindy 3 listened to their teachers and respected the other people and animals at the zoo.
