Hands, Hearts, and a Surprise for Dad ☆ Kindy 2

Hands, Hearts, and a Surprise for Dad ☆ Kindy 2

2025/06/11

Hello Family and Friends,

This week in Kindy 2, we continued our journey through the five senses with a fun and hands-on craft focused on the sense of touch. The children created textured hands, with each finger showing a different feeling: rough, soft, hard, bumpy, and smooth. Using a variety of materials, they explored how different textures feel and learned the words to describe them.

It was a wonderful opportunity for Kindy 2 to make real connections between their vocabulary and the physical world around them. As they glued and felt each material, they practiced using descriptive language like “This one is bumpy!” or “This feels soft!” It was lovely to see them so engaged, touching, exploring, and learning with their senses.

This simple but meaningful craft gave everyone a chance to be creative while also developing their sensory awareness and language skills. We’re excited to continue discovering more about the five senses in the weeks to come!

Also, this week Kindy 2 worked on a special surprise for Father’s Day!! Each student decorated a colorful tie and added their own personal touch by drawing a picture of their dad! It was such a happy moment, and everyone knew this gift was just for dad, so they put so much care into making their ties look fun and full of love.

We won’t say too much yet (since it’s meant to be a surprise!), but we hope the dads will enjoy receiving something made just for them. The children were proud of what they created, and it was a sweet reminder of how much they notice and care about the people in their lives.

Thank you so much for visiting our blog and supporting us on our learning journey! We hope you can see how hard every student is working while also having fun. We also hope all the fathers really love their gifts!
