Future in the Making ☆ Kindy 2

Hello family and friends!

In Kindy 2, we’ve been exploring the interesting world of inventions! Together, we learned about some of the most important tools and discoveries that changed how people live and connect with each other. To name just a few, we looked at the telescope, which lets us see the stars; eyeglasses, which help people see more clearly; the radio, which carries voices and music through the air; and the telephone, which made it possible to talk to someone far away.

After learning about these life changing inventions, it was time for the students to become inventors themselves! We set up groups and gave the children different blocks and toys to use. Their challenge was to imagine, design, and build their very own inventions. It was fun to see their creativity come alive as they worked together, shared ideas, and proudly explained what they had created.

Why is this important? 

Learning about inventions helps Kindy 2 understand how curiosity and creativity can solve real problems in the world. It shows them that the everyday objects we use like glasses or telephones were once just ideas in someone’s mind. By giving them the chance to design their own inventions, they practice critical thinking, teamwork, and imagination. Most importantly, they begin to see themselves as capable of creating new ideas too!

One group invented a robot car that delivers your pizza and cooks it at the same time. They explained that the robot car is convenient because it can cook any kind of pizza you want, and bring it to you hot and ready to eat!

Another group invented a special hat you can put on that lets you take a shower anytime and anywhere. It even comes with its own curtain for privacy!

This was a lot of fun! We really enjoyed bonding as a class while thinking, imagining, and creating new ideas together.

Just like the inventors of the past, the children are learning to dream, design, and build a better future. Thank you for reading our blog, and we look forward to sharing more of our learning adventures with you next week!
