Our Morning Routine! ☆ Kindy 1

In Kindy 1 we have been learning about the importance of routine and expectations. To do this we have created a morning routine that we do everyday that involves singing, dancing and teaching from the students as well as teachers!

We start our morning by saying "Good Morning!" to all the teachers and then singing the Hello Song with our nicest voices!

In the morning, Aleesha picks leaders who act as the teacher to help us learn about months, days of the week, weather and the Kindy 1 rules. 

We start with our Months, which are read out by the months leader and repeated. We then identify which month it is currently ("It is August!".  

After singing our Months Song, we move into days of the week and the weather! We have songs for those too! 

After identifying the weather and the day it is ("What day is it" "Today is Tuesday!"), we go through our rules. These rules set the expectations for the day and should be followed so that can have a fun and safe time in Kindy 1! Each rule has a special gesture that goes along with it too!

We finish off our routine with CST and Show and Tell. Then we are ready for the day! 

We are really good at our routine now, and hopefully soon we won't need teachers at all to run it!
