Exploring Occupations Through Play

This week, Kindy 2 learned about different occupations through a fun game of charades! Kindy 2 took turns acting out different occupations such as photographer, hairdresser, doctors, and chefs, while their classmates guessed the occupation. This activity not only sparked lots of laughter but also encouraged creativity, imagination, and language development. By stepping into the roles of different professionals, Kindy 2 expanded their understanding of the world around them and practiced expressing ideas with their bodies and words.

“For our physical development focus, we set up an obstacle course that gradually became higher and more challenging. Kindy 2 students practiced jumping again and again, each time a little higher, before finishing with a big, exciting jump. 

Activities like these help children build strength, coordination, and confidence in their physical abilities. They also encourage perseverance and problem solving as children figure out how to complete each part of the course. It's also so much fun!!
