Jungle Gym ☆ Kindy 3
2025/09/22
Hello, everyone.
This week in the gym our class went on an exciting adventure! We set up a special obstacle course to practice our jumping skills, but instead of just calling it exercise, we pretended we were brave explorers walking through a jungle.
First, our explorers came to a wide river filled with crocodiles! They had to jump across without falling in, or step carefully on the crocodiles’ heads (the stepping stones).
Next, they came across a piece of fruit hanging from a vine (a balloon). They had to try and get it by jumping as high as they could, straight up.
After getting their fruit, a giant rock (the vaulting horse) stood in their way, and the explorers had to climb over it.
Then they found a deep hole in the ground! To cross safely, they had to make a big jump from one mat to another without falling in.
"Phew! we made it!"
We lost a few brave explorers to the hole, but those that survived then came to some tree roots (hurdles). They had to jump or step over the roots before looping back to the river to start again.
At the end of the adventure, we played a fun game with a balloon tied to a string. I spun it around in a circle as fast as I could, and the children had to jump to try and touch it. They laughed, jumped, and showed how strong and energetic they are.
Everyone got lots of practice using their jumping muscles and had a great time being jungle explorers!
