Language Arts Progress! ✩ Kindy 1

Kindy 1 has been working hard in our Language Arts lessons all year! 

We have finally completed our ABC workbooks and have learnt how to write every letter of the Alphabet! 

One activity we have done this Christmas is write letters to Santa! We used our Language Arts skills to write a letter saying 'Merry Christmas' and drew what we want Santa to bring us!

Kindy 1 was very careful with their writing and drawing so that Santa can understand our letter! We hope Santa received them well!

Kindy 1 told Santa about lots of different things they wanted like Princess themed items (necklace, dress makeup), Paw Patrol toys, Sanrio toys and even interesting robots!

Another topic in Language Arts we are learning is Phonics!

In the new year we will be beginning to learn how to read, so we have begun to have fun with activities to help us read and understand letter sounds. 

In this activity, we used our phonics knowledge to sound out and read 3 letter words such as fox, dog, cat and jet. 

If we chose the wrong card, we would sound it out to see if it makes a proper word, then chosing a different card until eventually figuring out the proper word! 

We always try our best in Kindy 1! 

We have learnt so much this year in Kindy 1! We can't wait to continue the good work in 2026!
