Show and Tell ★ Kindy 2

Show and tell in Kindy 2 looks a little different than in Kindy 1. Each month we have a different theme which the children have to choose an item to bring in to class, that is related to that theme specifically. In June our theme was "My favorite book" and this month our theme is "My favorite sport". 

To teach Kindy 2 children about respecting other people's belongings and how to ask for permission before touching someone else's items, we allow the children to say whether they want their classmates to touch or not to touch their show and tell items. Kindy 2 have done so well with this.

Show and tell is a great opportunity for the children to practice using their English vocabulary and skills, how to ask different questions, and how to speak loud and clearly. It builds and encourages their confidence, and also teaches them how to listen to and respect their classmates. 

The children particularly loved our July theme which is "My favorite sports". So far, we have had volleyball, dancing, running, and catch. A very popular favorite sport amongst Kindy 2 is soccer.

The children in Kindy 2 are always so excited to share and speak about their show and tell, even though they get a little shy sometimes and forget what to say, with a little help from the teacher they are able to continue. This is one of our favorite parts of our day in Kindy 2, for both the children and the teachers!
