Color mixing and Halloween Decor (Kindy 1)

Something this way comes!?! It is Halloween just around the corner! Last time we made our cute Jack-O-Lanterns! Everyone got to be a creepy monster. Some got to be skeletons, others got to be a witch! Oh how fun! But we need to decorate the entryway! Oh my gosh what will we make???
Any ideas?

We will be making ghosts! How scary! Wait, we need something for the ghosts to sit on. So we all made the ghosts background! First Kindy 1 needed to remember their color mixing and colors. What colors are often seen during Halloween and October?
Orange, Black, Purple plus many others. So we asked the kids, "What colors make purple?"
Yeah! Blue and red make purple! 
How about Orange? "What colors make orange?"
Red and yellow make orange!

All the kids got a shape to paint, circle, rectangel or an arch. We needed to make sure the whole shape was covered in color before everyone could get their Halloween glitter. But wait! We need our smocks, so we do not get all dirty. So kindy 1 put on their smocks all by themselves and stood nicely at the table.

When smocks were on, and everyone was standing nicely; we got to finally paint! So many kids wanted purple this year. Only 1 wanted black, and a few wanted orange. 

Paint is so messy! Our hands were all purple and orange! But once we finished everyone got some glitter spiders, pumpkins and bats to put on their shapes! 
"Can I have bats please?"
"May I have pumpkins please?"

Wow, they all look so cute! Next time we are going to make the ghosts for our shapes! They will be different colors and have different shapes as well. Do you like scary ghosts, or do you like cute ghosts?
