Our First Earthquake Drill! ☆ Preschool

Hello, everyone! Preschool is here to talk about earthquakes! They can be really scary, but that's why we have to be prepared! There are certain things we need to do to be extra safe!

Our first course of action is to make an acorn! We're still working on our technique, but it's important to be as small small small as possible! Once we've curled up, we have to use our hands to cover our heads just in case something falls!

After our teachers have told us it's okay to sit up, we have to put our safety hats on. Of course we each have our own, but in an emergency we need to put on the nearest cushion. It's not very comfortable, but we want to make sure our heads are protected in an earthquake!

The next thing we need to do is listen very closely to our teachers! It's so important that we make one tidy line so we can all be accounted for in an emergency. We're working on our lining up and doing a great job so far!

Despite all of the new noises and actions, we were able to stay safe during our pretend earthquake. It was a bit scary! There were some tears, but we all managed to get in line with the help of our friends and teachers. What an amazing first earthquake drill! Fantastic work, preschool!
