Our Dinosaur Adventures ☆ Kindy 3

Hello, everyone.

🦕This week our class had so much fun learning about dinosaurs! 🦖

In the gym, we played a dinosaur flashcard game. Everyone practiced their soccer skills by kicking balls over the flashcards, then running back to their team to read the words together. The team which got the most cards was the winner! It was a fun mix of kicking and dinosaur names practice!

We also watched a video that showed many different dinosaurs and helped us understand what they looked like when they were alive. Some were big and scary, while others were small and quick. Everyone had fun calling out the names of the dinosaurs as they appeared on the screen, or guessing which ones they were. We also learned lots of interesting facts and information about them.

"It's a Mosasaurus!"

"Look, Triceratops!"

"It's a T-Rex!"

"No, it's an Iguanodon!"

"No, it's not. It's an Allosaurus!"

After lunch today, we read a book about fossils and learned how dinosaur bones are found and put in museums. Did you know that people first found dinosaur fossils about 200 years ago? It was exciting to see how scientists can learn so much about animals that lived millions of years ago.

To burn some energy, we went on a treasure hunt to find dinosaurs hiding all around the classroom. We searched high and low until we found every single one!

We are all really excited to show off how much we know about dinosaurs, and all the great new words we have been learning, such as 'carnivore', 'herbivore', 'extinct' and more!
