Float or Sink? What do you think? ☆ Kindy 3

Hello, everyone!

This month, we’ve been learning about weight and physics. To make it more fun, we played the classic game “Float or Sink!” The students loved testing different objects to see which ones would stay on top of the water and which ones would go under.

Before we began, we had a quick class discussion and voted on which objects we thought would sink and which would float—and why. We talked about what each item was made of and how heavy or light it felt. We learned that heavy things don’t always sink, and light things don’t always float — it depends on what they’re made of!

"Hands up if you think a sponge will sink. Okay, hands up for float."

After our discussion, we moved to the tables in groups and took turns testing which objects would sink and which would float. It was a lot of fun — and honestly, quite surprising! Some items we were sure would float actually sank.

It’s that time of year again, and we’ve been spending lots of time singing, dancing, and practicing the handbells. It’s been so much fun, but it’s nice to still have our regular lessons and learn something new!
