Navigation ☆ Kindy 2

In July, our Social Science theme was "My Community". We spoke about where we live, the places we have around us like our school, grocery stores, police station, and more. We discussed how we would get to these places and the route we would need to take. We learned phrases and words like "turn left" and "stop at the corner". To review what we had learned, we had a really fun navigation activity. 

The children each had a turn to be either the driver or the navigators. The driver had the responsibility of getting their passengers to their destination, relying on their 2 navigators who were giving them directions from the T.V. 

It was a little tricky for the children to remember which phrase or direction to give at the correct time, but with a little help from the teachers, they successfully got their driver to the correct destination.

The children who were driving their passenger to their destination had to listen carefully to the directions and instructions they were being given and follow them correctly. This was also a little tricky, but everyone managed to complete their task successfully. 
 

This was a really fun, challenging and exciting activity for Kindy 2, and everyone wanted to have another turn.
