Let's explore the Jungle ☆ Small Kids

Welcome back to another week of fun with Small Kids.😁

This month we have been learning all about animals and one of our favorite lesson activities is going on a hunt to find the animals that are hidding within the classroom. 🐯

First they need to see what animal they need to find before going in the hunt.

What animal did you find today?

When we go through the animals everyone loves to do all the sounds, specially the lion and tiger RAW sound! So lets make a lion craft. 🦁

First everyone helped scrunch up red and orange tissue paper to make the main. After we got a paper plate we need to colour it all in so lets use yellow and orange marker!

In the beginning everyone didn't like to colour much but after a few crafts they love colouring now. 🥰

Lastly lets stick the red and orange tissue paper main around the edge and draw a mouth and stick on eyes.

I love your lions everyone! They are so cute. But I think they might get lonely so lets make a friend, how about an elephant? 🐘

For the elephant craft we need to rip up some news paper first so lets all do this together as a team.

Now lets use double sided tape to stick it all down and lastly stick on our eyes.

Such a cute elephant everyone!

A jungle always needs a freind in the branches so lets make a snake! 🐍

Now this one was a lot of fun as we got super messy with paint 😁 Everyone has become very comfortable touching and using paint with their hands so for this one we let them go wild with the paint and just have fun.

They look so cool! Everytime we bring up snakes in the lesson they all point at their snakes hanging from the branch over our jungle pictures. 😁

Finally our jungles could never be complete without a little monkey! 🐒

Lets use paint again to create our monkey face but this time with a sponge to stamp around paper. We also got an oval brown paper and a marker to draw on our own mouths for the monkey and stick on ourselves plus some eyes for our little friend.
