Cloud Watching ☆ Kindy 3
2026/09/30
Hello, everyone!
This month, we have been learning all about weather! We explored different types of weather and natural disasters, such as earthquakes and tidal waves. We also learned all about the water cycle. First comes the rain, which collects in rivers, lakes, and oceans. Then, the water dries up and goes into the air, where it forms clouds. Eventually, the water falls back down as rain, and the cycle starts again!
To finish our weather theme with some fun, we made our own cloudy sky paintings. We used white paint, water, and dish soap to make some fluffy paint bubbles. Then, we scooped the bubbles onto blue paper to create our own cloudy skies. Each picture is unique, just like the clouds in the sky!
Once our skies were finished and dry, Kindy 3 tried to find pictures in the clouds. Just like looking up at the sky and imagining pictures in the clouds, we looked carefully at our paintings and drew in the things we could see.
It was a simple activity, but we had fun using our imagination and getting creative! Maybe next time we are outside on a fine, partly cloudy day, we can take a moment to look up at the real sky and see what pictures we can find among the clouds!
